This wireless system is fully customizable via the Shimano E-Tube app, allowing you to adjust shifting speed, choose between fully or semi-synchronous shifting modes, and assign specific functions to the program buttons on the lever. Energy consumption is remarkably low, with the two CR1632 button cells powering the electronics for over 3 years. The absence of wiring simplifies installation and ensures a clean, tidy cockpit.

The brake lever's ergonomics have been significantly improved, featuring a deeper recessed grip and rounded hoods that provide a secure hold, even during long descents. The grip width is individually adjustable, making it easier for riders with smaller hands to brake effectively.

The redesigned brake caliper delivers exceptional braking power, eliminating brake rub and squealing. The standard L05A-RF resin brake pads with cooling fins ensure stability under high loads, while the increased distance between the brake pads (approx. 10%) simplifies adjustment and prevents grinding noises. Maintenance tasks, such as bleeding, are straightforward for moderately skilled cyclists.

Brake Rotor: SHIMANO Ultegra Center Lock RT-CL800 | 160 mm
The Ultegra CL800 brake rotors feature Shimano’s Ice-Tech cooling technology, which prevents heat-related deformation and ensures reliable, controllable braking performance. The three-layer sandwich construction (stainless steel sides with an aluminum core) improves heat dissipation, reducing temperatures by approximately 100°C. The FREEZA aluminum cooling fins further lower the system temperature by 50°C, allowing for the use of smaller brake discs and extending brake pad lifespan. The Center-Lock mount ensures quick, secure installation and a clean, compact appearance.
